Musk’s, the famous Newmarket sausage producer, joins forces with MEM

Volunteers and sponsors alike are in for a treat at both Barefoot Estates Burnham Market and Houghton International Horse Trials. We are delighted to welcome Musk’s to our 2017 events, where the Royal Warrant holding company will be providing both the volunteers breakfast sausages and lunch ingredients for the hospitality and sponsors catering. Eventing class winners will also take home Musk’s produce. Fortunately no-one need miss out – Musk’s delicious range of scrumptiousness will be available to buy on their tradestand.

Musk’s is steeped in heritage, their famous Newmarket sausage recipe unchanged since its creation in 1884. Not surprisingly, the recipe is a closely guarded secret. However, the company also caters for today’s requirements, with an award winning gluten-free variety of the Newmarket, alongside a range of other delicious taste combinations.

Her Majesty the Queen’s Warrant is the fourth to be awarded to Musk’s in its illustrious history. The first came in 1907, granted by the future King George V, and royal patronage has always been a part of the company’s heritage.

“Musk’s are delighted to be able to partner Musketeer for 2017,” said spokesman Graham Pentelow. “The horse trials are well-established and professionally run by an experienced team. Because of this, they fit perfectly with our own heritage and customer base. We’re proud to have the opportunity to serve the volunteers at breakfast, and the sponsors at lunch. We will also be offering samples to followers old and new at our tradestand, where visitors can buy our bangers to take home.

“We hope that this will be the start of a long term partnership, and look forward to promoting Burnham Market and Houghton Internationals to an ever growing audience.”

Event Director Alec Lochore added: “For a man who enjoys top quality bangers and mash as much as I do, this is a perfect partnership. At Musketeer we always strive to host the best events that we can, and Musk’s are undoubtedly the best sausage makers, not just in East Anglia but the country.

“To borrow from Napoleon, ‘An army marches on its stomach.’ Our loyal volunteer army should be marching with enthusiasm this year.”
