I’d like to thank the Musketeer Team for putting on such an excellent event. We had never been to Burnham Market before and all of the good things we have heard about it were true!

Houghton International has been a very happy hunting ground for me, having won The U21 National Championship twice. With a true International feel, it is a privilege to ride around the magnificent parkland. The atmosphere on cross country day is always great, especially around the main water jump, where apparently we were even blessed by a Royal visit this year! It prepares the horses really well for the season ahead and will continue to be my Spring 3 day of choice.

It’s always good ground at Burnham Market in the spring and that’s a real priority for me. I like to run my horses at this event before they go off to major three-day competitions a little later in the season. I originate from Norfolk, so Burnham Market is a particularly special place for me. It’s a great atmosphere, extremely well run and the organisers do everything possible to make it the successful event it is.

It was the first time I have been to Burnham and what a lovely place. The ground on Friday was fantastic, definitely worth the 4 hour drive from Yorkshire.

Thank you for another very good event. I think this was the best yet, helped by good weather, perfect going and great organisation.

I have known and worked with Alec for many years in my capacity as an FEI Technical Delegate at several of the events that he is director of, and also as a course designer. He is a great team person, his events are well organised and it is always a pleasure to be a part of them. Champagne Pol Roger made one of its very first forays into three-day eventing at Blair Castle for the FEI European Championships of three-day eventing in 2015, something Alec Lochore and his team ran/implemented. That event was executed with both great style and efficiency.
