World-class eventing returns to Cirencester Park
For the first time since the early 1970s, affiliated eventing has returned to Cirencester Park. It was a real treat to see some of the sport’s leading riders and horses competing in the park, with lots of very positive feedback coming about this wonderful venue.
Thanks to the hard work and efforts of the team at Willis Brothers and Alec Lochore, the park was in fabulous condition for competition to get underway this morning, with a full schedule of Intermediate and Open Intermediate classes. The courses rode well throughout the day, with Fence 19 proving particularly thought-provoking.
After the glorious sunshine we enjoyed at Burnham Market, it would have been fair to believe that summer was truly on the way. However, in Gloucestershire today we were treated to all four seasons – from moments requiring short sleeves and sunglasses to dodging hail stones the size of marbles!
Despite the interesting conditions, we enjoyed some great sport with our Friday winners as follows:
Intermediate
Section A
Harry Meade and Russeljacket (29.3)
Section B
Ludwig Svennerstal and Vivero (28.4)
Section C
Caroline Harris and Amoroso Gigi Z (30.5)
Section F

Open Intermediate
Section D
Piggy March and Sportsfield Top Notch (23.6)
Section E
Piggy March and Brookfield Inocent (28.0)
Section G
Sarah Bullimore and Starbucks (20.2)
