Entries open for Barefoot Estates Burnham Market International

Entries are now open for the Barefoot Estates Burnham Market International Horse Trials, featuring the first leg of the Shearwater Insurance Tri-Star Grand Slam, with classes ranging from BE100 to CIC3*. Media accreditation is also now open.

We not only welcome a new title sponsor to Burnham Market this year in the shape of North Norfolk’s new boutique estate agency Barefoot Estates, but are delighted to be hosting the first leg of an exciting new series, the Shearwater Insurance Tri-Star Grand Slam, which offers £50,000 to the winner of three of the five CIC3* events in the series.

Competition is likely to be hotter than ever as riders compete for an early advantage. Last year’s CIC3* winner Oliver Townend, who has posted four victories in the big class at Burnham Market since 2012, has already confirmed that he will be bringing his top team of horses to Norfolk.

“Facilitating opportunities like this I hope shows competitors that we are responding to their concerns regarding the level of prize money available in the sport, and rewarding them for their skill and dedication. We are looking forward to an exciting contest,” said MEM’s Alec Lochore.
