Day one action from the Saracen Horse Feeds Houghton International Horse Trials
The 2021 Saracen Horse Feeds Houghton International Horse Trials got underway this morning, with the first day of dressage for each of the International competitions. Houghton Hall and the old stables looked stunning in the sunshine, providing the perfect backdrop for such a great day of sport.
Kitty King and Adrian Sweet’s MHS Monbeg Junior performed an eye-catching test to take them to the top of the leader board so far in the CCI 2*L (Section A) , with a score of 24.2. This leaves them just one mark ahead of Piggy French and Cooley Goodwood who are currently lying second.
In the CCI 3*L, Ros Canter and Sharon Bayston’s Shannondale Nadia currently lead Section B on a score of 23.7 and a lovely test from Wills Oakden and Ella Macgregor’s gelding, Macgregors Cooley has left them leading Section C.
Alex Hua Tian’s score of 24.3 with his own, Jilsonne Van Bareelhof was enough to leave them at the top of the leader board in the CCIS 4*O after day one, with Oliver Townend and Tregilder in second.
Dressage continues tomorrow (Friday 28 May), with the action getting underway at 9am.
