Cirencester Park to host 2022 Cotswold Cup Championship Three Day Event

Musketeer Event Management is thrilled to be hosting the 2022 Cotswold Cup Championships at Cirencester Park from the 23rd – 25th September 2022. The competition will be run as a traditional long format Three Day Event with the inclusion of steeplechase and roads and tracks.

Senior competitors will enjoy three days of competition with a traditional horse inspection to start the proceedings followed by a long-arena dressage test on Friday 23rd September. The Cross country, including roads and tracks and steeplechase phases, will take place on Saturday 24th September, followed by a second horse inspection, show jumping and a prize giving on Sunday 25th September.

The Junior Championship will take place as a Two Day Event, with their dressage test and show jumping rounds on Saturday 24th and cross country, including roads and tracks and steeplechase phases, and prize giving on Sunday 25th to allow for the fact that schools will be back after the summer break.

The Championships will be a highlight of Musketeer Event Management’s Unaffiliated Horse Trials that are running over that weekend. By kind permission of The Earl Bathurst and Lord Apsley, the spectacular parkland at Cirencester Park welcomes riders for the fourth year to compete over wonderful courses designed by experienced International Course Designer Alec Lochore.

The Cotswold Cup is an eventing series created by a small group of event organisers and hosts who wanted to offer unaffiliated competitors consistent and quality events across a series of fantastic venues.
