“To all the wonderful Burnham Market Team. You gave us such a fabulous event and worked so hard to make it so. It is worth coming all the way across England to visit you and have so much fun. Thank you.”

“Houghton International has been a very happy hunting ground for me, having won The U21 National Championship twice. With a true International feel, it is a privilege to ride around the magnificent parkland. The atmosphere on cross country day is always great, especially around the main water jump, where apparently we were even blessed by a Royal visit this year! It prepares the horses really well for the season ahead and will continue to be my Spring 3 day of choice.”

“It’s always good ground at Burnham Market in the spring and that’s a real priority for me. I like to run my horses at this event before they go off to major three-day competitions a little later in the season. I originate from Norfolk, so Burnham Market is a particularly special place for me. It’s a great atmosphere, extremely well run and the organisers do everything possible to make it the successful event it is.”

“I’d like to thank the Musketeer Team for putting on such an excellent event. We had never been to Burnham Market before and all of the good things we have heard about it were true!”

“It was the first time I have been to Burnham and what a lovely place. The ground on Friday was fantastic, definitely worth the 4 hour drive from Yorkshire.”

“Thank you for another very good event. I think this was the best yet, helped by good weather, perfect going and great organisation.”

Event officials:

“I have known and worked with Alec for many years in my capacity as an FEI Technical Delegate at several of the events that he is director of, and also as a course designer. He is a great team person, his events are well organised and it is always a pleasure to be a part of them. Alec is very involved in all aspects of eventing and has done a huge amount to promote the sport in both the UK and as a member of the FEI Event committee”

Event sponsors:

“Champagne Pol Roger made one of its very first forays into three-day eventing at Blair Castle for the FEI European Championships of three-day eventing in 2015, something Alec Lochore and his team ran/implemented. That event was executed with both great style and efficiency. Alec and the team gave us the confidence and wherewithal to pull off a successful first appearance at Blair; the planning and infrastructure put in place were without equal and we were treated spectacularly well throughout the run up to and during this showpiece event.

“We have also worked with the team at some of their other events, including Burnham Market International and Houghton International. I would not hesitate to recommend Alec and all the team at Musketeer to any company, and I look forward to working on projects with them all in the future.”
Paul Graham, Business Development Director, Champagne Pol Roger UK

“We have been involved with Houghton for a number of years and, during that time, we have seen it grow into one of the feature events in the calendar. Alec and the team at Musketeer are to be congratulated on the high profile that Houghton now has in the eventing year.”

“Cholmondeley Estates have been working with Alec and his team since 2006 at Houghton Hall in Norfolk and 2011 at Cholmondeley Castle in Cheshire. At both estates Alec and his team have been proactive in building and developing the two venues alongside all the estates ongoing business and activities. We enjoy working with Alec, he always delivers what he promises, runs and manages the events smoothly, without surprises.”

“Just two short weeks ago [2014] we witnessed the incredible World Tennis Day with events running throughout the world, in Hong Kong, London and New York City. Working with Alec in London was a supreme pleasure for me. In my thirty year career I have never worked with anyone so talented in the operations arena. His attention to detail was so precise, and only outdone by his incredible attitude. There was no job too big or small that he didn’t tackle with a smile. His fellow workers all displayed the same principles.”
